1.  Trolls

These fun and cute colorful dolls with their endless spiky hairs were among the best known and loved by children of the nineties. However, their transition to the big screen didn’t happen until a few years ago (more specifically, in 2016), when they became the protagonists of their own film, produced by Dreamworks Animation.

The success of the theatrical version has meant that Trolls have once again become one of the favorite toys of children. In addition, it has allowed the commercialization of products such as school materials or accessories dedicated to these cute characters.

On the other hand, how can you not adore these wonderful characters whose favorite passions are dancing, singing and hugging? If you agree too, we congratulate you, because the second film in the series is expected to hit the big screen next year.

2.  The LEGO Movie

When it comes to traditional toys, the classic ones we have all played with, regardless of our age, we cannot fail to take Lego into consideration. These construction toys, which began as simple colored blocks to fit together, nowadays represent a real world to explore for children and for those who are no longer so young.

The fact is that the possibilities of construction and innovation offered by Legos offer you the opportunity to create whatever you can imagine. From castles of princesses to buildings of all kinds, passing through the most famous great monuments, there are no limits that contain the imagination of the little ones.

For this reason it is not surprising that  The LEGO Movie , launched in 2014, has grossed around $500 million worldwide. Legos dedicated to superheroes or different professions come to life in this fantastic film that we recommend you to see to spend pleasant moments in the company of your family.

3.  Playmobil: The Movie , one of the latest toy-inspired children’s films

If we said earlier that Legos have been one of the most traditional toys for many years, Playmobil belong to the same category. The evolution of these puppets and their expansions have reached such proportions that they are accompanied by any place or space: a farm, a shopping center, an airplane or a hospital are just some of the countless examples that we could offer.

Again, the authors of films aimed at children have understood the potential of these toys and have decided to create a film that sees them as protagonists and that in our country will reach the big screen at the end of this 2019.

4.  Bratz

Anyone who lived their childhood or even pre-adolescence during the decade of the 2000s will surely know the Bratz. These dolls have won a place in the hearts of many little girls by being able to choose from many of them and acquire a large number of clothes to change them, including accessories such as a convertible car.

Thanks to a style similar to that of Barbie, but much more daring, the success of these dolls has meant that numerous animated films have been produced that see them as protagonists. In addition to these animated films, its creators have decided to produce a film with real actors.

5. Barbie

Another classic toy that has given joy to generations and generations of little girls is, without a doubt, Barbie. There are almost 40 films featuring this doll, starting in 2001, when Barbie and the Nutcracker was produced  .

However, none of these films ever made it to the big screen, because they were all produced directly for the VHS market in the early days, and today for the DVD market.

How is it possible that such a famous doll has not yet made its big screen debut? No fear! In fact, we announce that next year Barbie will also have her own cinematic film, with protagonists played by real actors. We can’t wait to see it!

6.  Transformers

These fantastic robots that transform in just a few seconds have been and continue to be a huge success among the children’s audience. For this reason, in 2007 they made the big leap and hit the big screen, confirming their enormous popularity. The result has been so positive that the series of films that have these robots as protagonists has now reached the number of five films.
